Baking Bunny Treats for Easter
Last week saw the launch of our LissieLou 2022 Easter range and it has definitely been an egggcellent way to get us all in the mood for spring. Cute carrots, perfect pastels and the most beautiful bunny biscuits - what more could we want?
We decided it needed to be showcased in the best way we know how, a treat table! The best thing about this selection is that it can be attempted by professional bakers or a complete baking novice, but will be guaranteed to bring smiles all round.
We chose a classic pastel colour palette with a little boho styling to bring you some inspiration for your Easter celebrations this year, for the whole family to enjoy.

Bunny Cake
This has to be the ultimate Easter table centerpiece (even if we do say so ourselves) and is sure to bring smiles all round. Creating this Bunny cake is a brilliant activity to do as a family and whether you choose to bake or buy a cake, it will be immediately brought to life by adding our easy-to-use Bunny kit. Simply add to the cake of your choice and let the kids go all out with the rest of the decorations. The best thing is that our Bunny kit can be re-used time and time again...

Sugar Cookies
Last week we introduced you to the ultimate sugar cookie recipe and with Easter just around the corner, it is the perfect time to use it. Once you have picked your favourite Easter designs with matching cutters, follow last week's blog recipe and you'll have beautiful Easter cookies.
If you have enough dough to make some spare cookies, pop them in clear treat bags with a pastel ribbon and use them as part of an Easter hunt in the garden or deliver them to local relatives as an Easter surprise.

Rocky Roadsicles
Cakesicles are a firm favourite, but if you are short on time or don't have spare sponge cake and buttercream around, they can be a little fiddly and time consuming. So we decided to make an easy Rocky Roadsicle instead. Just melt some chocolate and pour into a mould. Once set, add in the rest of your Rocky Road mixture, slide one of our Easter cakesicle sticks into the mould and leave to set again and you'll have gorgeous Easter treats in no time at all. For a little bit of extra 'bunny', we popped in a set of cupcake topper ears too.
Cover with melted chocolate and sprinkles for the perfect finish.
Double Chocolate Cupcakes
Cupcakes are the perfect treat for all baking levels and let's be honest, who doesn't love a cupcake especially when they have cute Bunny ears? Once you have baked your cupcakes, cover them in buttercream using a knife and grab a gorgeous spring-themed sprinkle mix. Then simply top with our Bunny Ear Cupcake Toppers to finish. You can also top some of your cupcakes with a little marshmallow to look like a bunny tail. This treat has maximum impact for minimum baking effort and they are so cute. Definitely worth a try!
